We believe it is important for children to wear a uniform because they are designed to make your child feel comfortable and independent when getting dressed or undressed. It also helps children to feel as though they belong and do not have to worry about getting dirty whilst exploring and playing in the nursery environments. Each setting has a distinct colour uniform because it follows the colours of the Academy School it operates alongside, but the logo remains the same.

Our nursery uniform consists of:

• Polo shirt - school colour or white
• Black shoes - Velcro fastening
• Grey/black leggings/trousers/skirts/joggers
• Jumper/Cardigan - School colour

Please note - our uniform is not compulsory for two-year-olds, but you are welcome to purchase one if you wish.

Children will need a drawstring bag which contains a spare set of labelled clothing should your child need to get changed.

All children's clothing, footwear and bags, must be clearly labelled with your child's name please.

We do operate outdoors throughout the year, so please ensure your child attends with the appropriate outdoor wear. For example, during the summer months, a sun hat must be provided and, during the winter months, a warm coat, puddle suit, hat and gloves.

 

Where can I buy my child's uniform?

Our Pride Our Joy jumpers, cardigans, polo shirts, drawstring bags can all be purchased from our supplier, (please see details below). Other uniform items, such as joggers and leggings, plain polo shirts and jumpers, can be purchased from 'high street' retailers.

Second-hand uniform: Our nurseries keep some second-hand uniforms, and they have opportunities during the year when parents can view these. If you would like to enquire about any second-hand items that might be available, please speak to the manager of the setting your child attends.
